Dawid is an Associate Patent Attorney at KISCH IP and has experience in local and international patent prosecution, design prosecution and intellectual property related dispute resolution. Dawid further has a focus on assisting early stage businesses through the development of fit-for-purpose intellectual property protection strategies together with providing assistance on public and private sector support funding initiatives.
Dawid is a member of the Southern African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM), and the recipient of the SAIMM Prestige Prize in 2016. He holds a BSc (Engineering) Metallurgy and Materials Engineering cum laude degree from the University of the Witwatersrand where he received the Genmin-Adrian Goddard Prize in Extractive Metallurgy, the WorleyParsons TWP Metallurgical Engineering Design Prize as well as the Prof S Luyckx Undergraduate Prize. Together with this he holds a BA LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch, and he is an alumnus of the Vrije University of Amsterdam where he completed course work on Risk, Security and Law, International Commercial Arbitration and International Tax Law.
